A: The awning was originally designed to fit the VW Vanagon and Eurovans, more recently it has been adapted for use on many other vehicles such as the Delica, Land Cruisers, Mini Vans, SUVs, Campers, etc.

A: No, there are no moving parts.

A: The Shady Boy awning weighs under 15 pounds!

A: The mounting brackets and screws are made of stainless steel.

Q: What is the fabric made of? Is it waterproof?
A: The water repellent fabric is a high tenacity nylon or polyester with a polyurethane or silicone coating.

Q: Is this a permanent attachment?
A: The Awning can be installed on vehicles with or without raingutters .  If mounting brackets are used, they should stay with the vehicle.  Most will not remove the awning during the off season due to the light weight of the awning.  You can easily remove the fabric and fiberglass rods during the winter and save weight when driving.
